This song is nice and easy to learn. It involves straightforward powerchords for most parts of the song. The strumming is mostly downstrokes, with plenty of palm muting during the verses. The riffs are catchy, and this is one of those songs that is great to sing and play (if you know the words). Just be aware that the tuning is Eb. So tune each string down by 1 note to:
Low Eb:Ab:Db:Gb:Bb:Eb
Use the ActionTab Tuner to help you retune.
The song follows this format:
Verse (twice) - Chorus - Verse (twice) - Chorus - Break - Bridge - Outro
Use those links to go straight to each of the main song parts. The Verse, Chorus and Bridge parts are all nice and easy, but you need to play tight with your rhythm hand while palm muting / strumming. Keep as tight to the beat as you can. The powerchord shape may be easy to use, but shifting its position quickly only comes with practice!
The Break / Outro are the same riffs (and the most fun to play). Again, it's powerchords, but with a fast up-down strum whilst muting is played between certain chords. You can strum / mute as you shift your hand to the next chord instead of strum / muting that chord, then shifting to the next chord. This will give you a bit of valuable time to get to the next chord. Try that if you are finding it hard to get the chord changes fast enough.
As always, practice this, and all the other song parts individually first until you master them. Go as slow as you like, but get it right before building speed. Then work on putting the parts all together to complete the song!
