This Blues solo is from the Jamzone. Go there to read the article and learn more about using Delay, ghost notes, and the E mixolydian and E aeolian modes here.
Loop this ActionTab and repeat it until you are very familiar with the solo. Then, give it a go. If you have a delay pedal / effect and wish to use it, then set it to about 750 ms.
The E mixolydian mode is the same as the E major scale except it has a flattened 7th (D instead of D#):
E F# G# A B C# D E
The E Aeolian mode is another name for the good old E natural minor scale:
E F# G A B C D E
The solo starts out using the E mixolydian mode as the basis for melody. We switch to the aeolian mode at this point....

Remember these modes share a lot of similarities, but do have differences. If you are serious about blues or jazz you should know your Mixolydian and Aeolian modes. Don't worry about their big names...just remember to play a major scale with a flat 7th note (mixolydian mode), and a natural minor scale (aeolian mode)!
