From the Blackie Lawless / Chris Holmes era. Wild Child is one of WASP's most famous songs, but if you get the chance you should also check out songs like The Heretic (The Lost Child) and the Headless Children. Fantastic stuff indeed.
Wild Child is a great song for beginners. The chord changes are simple and most of the riffs are quite easy. We'll look at the lead guitar separately. The song is in Eb tuning which means tuning each string down by 1 note to:
Low Eb:Ab:Db:Gb:Bb:Eb
Intro / Verse - The lead guitar plays the into lick (we'll show that in a separate ActionTab). Then this main rhythm guitar kicks in with very straightforward powerchords. You really can't get much simpler!
Chorus - This has a couple of little licks in it, but is still mostly powerchords. It's not particularly long, and highly repetitive.
Bridge - This is pure powerchords, and very easy. After a while Chris Holmes launches into the solo, while this guitar continues with the backing chords. At the end of the solo, do lots of slides and posing. Then play this melody. Chris Holmes plays another melody on top of this, but we've taken it out to avoid confusion. We'll show it separately in the Lead ActionTab.
Then end the song by just repeating the chorus over and over!
