The 2 solos for Tribute are pretty advanced and not really suitable for new beginners. They are based around the A blues scale, rooted mainly at frets 5-7.
Solo 1 - Short Gap - Solo 2
The difficulty is mostly in the speed. It's all typical rock stuff in terms of techniques. That means plenty of bends and hammer / pull off combos for speed. If you wish to give it a go then apply the following practice format (which works for most difficult guitar parts):
Break it down into small, manageable licks. Even if that just means a few notes at a time. Practice the first lick slowly until you get the techniques right, then work on building speed. When your fingers have it nailed, move onto the next lick and do the same. Once you can do that, go back and play the whole thing. Rinse and repeat.
This method means may seem painstaking at first, but it works. In the long run it's a faster way than trying to play from top to tail all the time. As you practice, your fingers get more used to the solo, and common solo licks. This means that you quickly develop a skill set that allows you to nail future solos with more confidence. Many of the same licks will be used across various solos and you'll already know how to do them - making other solos much easier to get.
That doesn't mean you'll be able to shred in 2 days flat. You need to keep at the practice. Put at least 1 hour a day in if you can (although more is better). You should be able to impress friends within a few weeks that way. Give it a few months and you'll be well on your way to shred heaven. Remember, it can take a few years before you truly begin to master these skills consistently. So don't be hard on yourself if it seems like you're struggling. All of us have been there. Put the work in, and be disciplined - pick up as many tips as you can from better players, and you'll get there! :)
