This is a slow paced rock melody from the Jamzone, very suitable for new beginners.
Now you know the backing guitar, it's time to build on it with a strong melody. We are going to layer 2 guitars over each other for the melody.
This ActionTab shows the 1st guitar melody. After you have learned this, we'll add another guitar layer to further bring out the melody in the next ActionTab.
Use plenty of distortion / gain for your sound, and light reverb if you have it. Notice that the rock melody changes along with the backing chords. The order of notes is the same each time the melody repeats - the only thing that differs is the fret position we start from. This just changes the melody to suit the backing chords.
You don't need to use the vibrato at first if you find it too awkward. Just focus on getting the melody right using normal notes instead. When your fingers know their way, then start adding the vibrato technique. The vibrato is quite slow and subtle, but adds to the sound - especially when combined with the next guitar layer.
Although the melody line is repetitive, notice that it isn't always exactly the same. There are some minor variations during the G#5 backing chord parts.
