There are two guitars for this song. It's not hard, but it is a fast-paced song so take it slow until you get the hang of things and then work at getting up the speed. We've taken out the lead guitar in this ActionTab to hear the rhythm guitar more clearly. The rhythm guitar is played on acoustic and plays the following chord progressions:
Verse
The acoustic comes in at the start of the verse by alternating between G major and D major chords. The song is in the key of G major, which from the start is the main chord throughout the song.
Next, alternate between C major and G major until the end of the verse, which finishes with a D7 chord.
Chorus
The chord changes come more quickly here, but it's just swapping between G major and C major until the end where the chords are:
G major - C major - G major - F major
After this point the whole verse / chorus sections are simply repeated again until the end of the song! The task with this song is not so much remembering the chords, but learning to play between them fast.
Next we'll look at the groovy lead guitar fills.
