This great song is packed with neat little riff / lead guitar combinations - and they're all here. We've even transcribed the bass riff at the start for guitar too because it's great fun to play, and the intro is lost without it! But we still play out the main rhythm guitar part a couple of times first, so you can choose to play either.
Same thing applies to the rest of this song. We'll show the rhythm part first, so that you know how to play it, and then show the lead guitar part over the top of those riffs, just as it is in the song.
Now, there is one section of the song that we play through twice. First time is purely the rhythm guitar part, followed by a gap. Then we repeat that part but with the solo licks shown.
That is the toughest part of the song because the lead licks are quite fast and precise. You'll need to get the timing right and work on each lead lick a while before you get it. There are 2 lead licks to learn for this part. The first one is repeated 3 times, then the second one is repeated 3 times (in the song, the 1st lick is continued, and the 2nd lead lick is added over the top of it). The second lead lick varies with the last note, but the rest is the same.
The rhythm is chunky and tight, with some fast powerchord changes. Those will take time to master, but remember the golden rule - break it into manageable chunks, practice them slower before building speed last.
