As mentioned in the ActionTab for Bohemian Rhapsody 1, there are 2 main guitar parts in the song. Here we see the second main guitar part. Most people think of this guitar part as
THE
guitar part due to the famous chunky rock riff.
The guitar here is straightforward enough to follow even for beginners. The riffing is solid and memorable, and it's not insanely fast, but the timing is tricky. If the little flourishes and brief muted notes are bothering you, just skip them - they aren't necessary. As always we include them to be true to the original song, but naturally you don't need to be so precise when learning the basic riffs for fun.
It is important to point out that there are a lot of guitar layers used from here on out. You can hear them all in this ActionTab. Brian May went nuts recording harmonies and solos all over the place. It's impossible to mix down into one guitar part and sound like the original. So, here we look at the main guitar part, and then in this text we link to the various different guitar parts when they come in:
Bohemian Rhapsody - 2 Chords These are just the backing chords, and run from the start of this ActionTab. These aren't really necessary to play the song, but very beginner friendly.
Bohemian Rhapsody - 2 Harmony This harmony follows the main guitar closely, and comes in here.
Bohemian Rhapsody - 3 Solo 1 This short solo comes in here.
Bohemian Rhapsody - 3 Solo 2 This short solo follows also comes in here and works as a harmony for Solo 1.
As you can see, lead guitars are playing all over the place. But the good news is that they aren't hard to learn (mostly). Give them a spin and see for yourself. Knowing all the guitar parts gives you the option of choosing to play the bits you like most.
Oh, and use this link to skip past the gap and get straight to the lead outro.
Do not worry about all these little lead segments - they are very short and can be learned quickly!
