The master of neo-classical guitar, Yngwie Malmsteen is something extraordinary. His blistering pace and incredible melodic solos are the hallmark of a genius. Love him or not - his guitar skill is undeniable.
This ActionTab shows the intro to 'Black Star', a beatiful classical piece of music. This music shows his ability to craft beautiful classical guitar music. Due to his notorious fast solos, a lot of people forget to recognise Yngwie's strong classical influences and quality song construction. This intro helps show these aspects of his guitar playing.
The album 'Rising Force' still inspires many guitarists, years after he recorded it. 'Black Star' is originally tuned to Eb (Low Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb), however, we recorded it in standard tuning to keep things easier for you (and left out a few of the frills to keep it simple). If you are feeling adventurous, tune each string down by one semitone to play along with the original tune in Eb. If you can play along with Yngwie's Black Star solos - then you should be out impressing people, not just sat there.
Only one important technical note - keep the bass lines consistent, and use your thumb over the top edge of the fretboard to play them. This piece is definitely not for new beginners!
